Smart Play

Smart Play allows you to customize the user experience when starting a video, displaying interactive messages and adjustable visual settings.


Starting edits


  • To start editing your VSL controls, simply select the VSL you want and click on the โ€œEdit VSLโ€ option.



  • Then click on Smart Auto Play to start editing.



Available settings


Enable Smart Play?


Enables or disables the Smart Auto Play feature. When enabled, the options below will be available for customization.



And when it's activated, you'll be able to see it as soon as you view the video, helping you make your edits.



Adding a Smart Play


To add a Smart Play, simply click on the "+" symbol, as shown below:



This will open this editing field so that you can configure it the way you prefer



Smart Play editing


When you create a new Smart Play, you will have the following configuration options:


  • Smart Player Name


Choose a name for your Smart Play to make it easier to identify and organize.



Select a type


You will have the option of choosing between Text (which will be our base template) or Image (where you can insert any image you have).



  • Text


If you choose the text format, you will have several options to customize your template to your needs.



  • Image


If you choose the image format, you can upload the image you want to use as a template.





  • Take up all the space in the video



You can choose whether your template will take up all the video space, example:




  • Colors of your template


You can edit both the text colors and the background colors



  • If you click on the box, you can edit the colors more precisely



  • The percentage bar adjusts the intensity of the color, making it stronger or more discreet according to your needs.



  • Text


Message displayed automatically at the start of video playback, informing the user of the start of the content.


  • Text 1 refers to the text that will appear on top of the template.


  • Text 2 refers to the text that will appear below the template.


  • You can change the two texts to suit you.




  • Jump on Screen?


When activated, adds a pulsing effect to the screen to draw the user's attention and encourage interaction.


  • If activated, you can change its speed.


  • Changing the size of your template


When you hover your mouse cursor over the template, it will give you the option to change its size by pulling on the rounded dots.



It also has a helper to help you center the template in your video.



Managing my Smart Players


Once you've added all the Smart Players you want, you'll have a few options for managing them.



Smart Play options:


  • View the image in the video(The video must be running to view it).



  • Mark the image as Selected, this will make it the image you will use (unless you activate the option to test Smart Players).



  • In this option, you can open the edit field of your template again.



  • Here you can duplicate your Smart Play.



  • Delete your Smart Play.



Testing Smart Player Templates


The Smart Player testing feature allows you to compare different templates to identify which one performs best.


Activating the Smart Player test



How does it work?


  • By enabling this option, the system will distribute the views among the registered Smart Players.
  • Detailed statistics will then be displayed so that you can analyze the results and choose the most efficient template.


Analyzing the Results


The test generates a performance graph showing the following metrics:


Smart Player - Lists the templates tested.
Previews - How many times the Smart Player was loaded on the screen.
Plays - Number of times the video was started.
Retention - Average video viewing time.
Play Rate - Percentage of views that resulted in a play.



With this data, you can make performance-based decisions and optimize your conversions.


Saving the settings


After customizing Smart Play, click SAVE to ensure that the changes are applied correctly to the player.
