Available settings:

Enable this feature

Enables or disables the possibility of setting a customized video playback speed.

Speed to be used

Sets the video playback speed.

  • Example: 0.5x (halves the speed), 1x (normal speed), 1.5x, 2x (increases the speed).

When to use?

  • Reduced speed ( 0.5x or 0.75x): Ideal for instructional videos, tutorials or when the viewer needs to analyze details more calmly.
  • Increased speed ( 1.5x or 2x): Suitable for quick reviews or when the user wants to consume the content in less time.

Test Speed Interval

The Test Speed Range feature allows you to adjust the video playback to different speeds and analyze which one generates the best engagement.

How does it work?

  • You can set a fixed speed for the video or enable the speed test.

  • With the test activated, the system will distribute the views at random speeds within the defined range (for example, between 0.8x and 2x).

  • The data collected will show which speed provides the best audience experience and retention.

Analyzing the Results

Speed - Lists all the speeds tested.

Views - How many times that speed was loaded on the screen.

Plays - Number of times the video was started.

Retention - Average video viewing time.

Play Rate - Percentage of views that resulted in a play.

Example:

In the analysis graph, we can see that speed 1.4x had the highest user retention. This means that it managed to keep the audience's attention for longer. If it were necessary to choose a definitive speed, the best option would be the one with the highest retention, as it indicates greater audience engagement.

After the test, you can view detailed metrics to understand the impact of each speed on the video's performance. Based on these insights, you can adjust playback to maximize retention and conversion.

Saving the Settings

After setting the preferences, click on SALVE to ensure that the changes are applied correctly.
